The theme of death, defeat, and broken dreams tended to be a theme addressed in the multi-genre projects. Pages were often burnt. There were torn journals and a wooden coffin. These represented the lack of certainty of attaining the American Dream, and the fact that most people fail in doing so.

Multi-genre thinking should matter because it allows us to analyze different parts of literature with different mediums. It allows us to gain different viewpoints. The themes of the American Dream were expressed in many different ways and they all conveyed the message that they were trying to teach us. I am contemplating what the American Dream really is and why we all have slightly different viewpoints on it.

After looking through many projects by my peers, I am left to question whether or not the american dream actually exist. Many projects posed the idea that the american dream is no longer alive. I think that this is definitely something to consider and makes me reevaluate what I thought to be true. Overall, i feel like being able to see the different variety of american dreams helps me to better understand my own american dream.

After I viewed the Multi-Genre projects I am contemplating people's confidence in the American dream. There were both project that supported the idea that the American dream was still alive and others that supported the idea that American dream was dead. This discrepancy intrigues me. I would love to be able to delve further into why people do or don't believe that the American dream still exists today. I would like to see what previous life experience have led people to their conclusions about the American Dream.

What I thought about these projects was that it really made everyone think outside the box and it was way better than having to write an essay. Also, I think that in creating these projects, people came up with a lot of really clever ideas that they wouldn't have in a less creative way to put their thoughts together. The American Dream was addressed in several different ways and I thought everyone's thoughts were really concrete and developed really well.

The American Dream was demonstrated well throughout each and very project. I'm thinking about how each project combines with the speeches we did a few weeks ago. I think it's cool how our speeches showed throughout the project. For myself, my speech was bout how we can't let fear stop us. Then, on our project, I talked about how Pufrock feared of growing old, and how that stopped him fom getting his American Dream. Overall, I really liked this project. It ties everything together.

The Multi-Genre project was a unique opportunity to be creative in expressing the idea of the American Dream. The theme of our project was "The Past is what you made it and the Future is what you make it." The Great Gatsby displays many examples of the The American Dream. For example, you can do anything you put your mind to. Gatsby decided he wanted to live the rich lifestyle and he did anything he could to get there. All of his tactics may not have been the best but he still achieved what he wanted to by having an extravagant house and going after the girl he loved. No matter what you did in the past, the future is all yours and you have nothing but opportunity

I found that after experiencing the different interpretations that my peers had made from reading the same book, its incredible to see just how many different ways this story can be read and understood. This really shows the value of why this is such an American classic. The projects I enjoyed the most were those with something tangible and interactive. I like the different ideas as to the presentation of these projects.

After viewing the artifacts reflecting the American Dream I realized that our country needs to focus more on this idea because its achievable for anybody.I am wondering how we can apply these themes into our everyday lives. The main theme I read about was confidence and hard work will allow you to obtain this. It has been shown in all the pieces of literature we have studied this semester. The artifacts presented in class showed these themes through the characters life and what they went through in order to reach success and their dreams.

What I noticed while walking around the room was that most of the people that I read thought that the "American Dream" is leaving america. Including my partner and me, we also talked about how the American Dream is leaving america. Because of the debt that families have and with how America is not doing was well as it should. It is getting better but it's not the best.

The projects I saw were are very well done. They all showed the american dream and how the people in the project were living it or not living it. Most people who did prufrock portrayed him as very awkward and weird. He was not living the american dream and was angry about it. The projects that's used gatsby as a character displayed him as a person who is living the american dream but has nobody to really share it with.

A common theme I saw in the multi-genre project was that of a lack of the American Dream in America. Multiple projects addressed that there is either no such thing as the American dream, or that it is no longer present. From these projects, I too wonder where the American dream has gone.

After viewing the Multi-Genre Projects, I'm contemplating how America has changed over time. I am also thinking about how this change is perceived differently by each and every person. This project opened my eyes to different views on the American dream, some see the dream as lost, some see it as barley there, and others see it as fully there. It is amazing how differently we perceive things. From project to project I saw passion, which was part of my project. The American dream is driven by passion, and it was amazing to see people become passionate about a project about the American Dream. Although these projects are all completely different, I believe that each one proved the dream in a different way.

After viewing my peers' Multi-genre American Literature Projects, I am contemplating how everyone has a different American Dream. Each project addressed a different theme whether it be fear of the future, money, or love.

I am thinking how amazing the project I made was. In addition I found that the American Dream was a recurring theme throughout all of the projects. The class used a variety of wanted posters, books, posters and other kinds of projects. They linked the themes the used primarily through the text " The Great Gastby. "

The multi Genre thinking did matter. I believe that all of the projects put side by side let me compare the Genres from different movements. A lot of the movements display defeat and reward. As an example, In the Great Gatsby, Gatsby wanted and desired Daisy, but when all said and done, Gatsby could only get a gimps of love, until fate took him away.

I saw a couple of satirical pieces that acted as a negative commentary on the perception of the American Dream, questioning if it actually exists. There's also the question of if the American Dream is really worth it. Gatsby was the embodiment of this concept and yet he died alone with almost no one at his funeral.

After going around the room and seeing all the multi-genre projects I noticed all of the creativity. This project allowed us to be as creative as we want. There was not one project similar to another. The American Dream is different to everyone and this project proved that. I personally think the American Dream is very much alive. There are so many people that made a great life and do what they love. But there are many people that don't like what they are going through in life and think that the American Dream is dead. This project just showed how everyone's opinion is different when it comes to the American Dream.

Walking around and looking at all of the different projects was really cool. It was interesting to see how different people analyzed the american dream in such different ways. Some projects focused on the idea that the american dream was leaving the states. I remember one specific project that had the fleeting dream escaping to Europe, leaving America dry. I really enjoyed seeing different views on the American dream, depicted creatively by my peers.

I think after reading these projects I noticed that they were all incredible and different in their own way. Everybody who did this project thought different about the same three readings. That being said I don't think that multi genre thinking matters, and here's why: The entire concept of multi genre thinking appeared to be getting the different prospective on the same pieces of writing. Now if we all read these writings why do we not just discuss it as a class and come up with an idea that is a combination. Also how are we supposed to connect these projects to "the American Dream". First off there is no such thing as the "American Dream" because there isn't just one, there are many and they are very personalized. That's why the attempts to connect back were all different. At what point do we get so far off it becomes irrelevant to it's source? This question at least for me leads back to a core question, why are we trying to think separate in the first place? I argue that all that is gathered is all that is needed.

After viewing my peers' projects, I saw a theme of death and it made me think of how the American dream can be viewed as dead. I think multi-genre thinking matters because it makes you use your creativity and not a lot of assignments do that.

After viewing the class's multi-genre projects, I am contemplating many things about the American Dream. The themes that the class addressed spanned from the absolute death of the American Dream, represented by a coffin, to the different strategies taken when attempting to catch thee dream. Overall, many projects conveyed the message that the American Dream was dying.

After viewing other Multi-genre project in class today, it is clear that the American Dream is evident in many different shapes and forms. The American Dream throughout american history, has influenced our literature. From The Great Gatsby to Prufrock, romanticism and realism are established. This project has helped expand my overall understanding of the American Dream,by showing other people’s interpretation of it.

Multi-genre think does matter because it allows us to look at certain ideas in different way and it can teach us to broaden our views. The activity allowed me to question whether or not the American dream exists or not and I could see from the projects why it is slipping away. Gatsby displays a lot of examples for how the American Dream used to exist. He wanted to become rich and famous and he ended up being successful. I think the dream has shifted because the only real way to get ahead in this world is if you are born with opportunities.
