I think the primary focus revealed about Puritanism is that it was a religion with a diverse group who take a stand for religious purity. They had a very unique lifestyle and their beliefs were very unique and interesting. Their religion had some historic events that took place. Had many beliefs
Puritans are looking for a more simple way of life that is centered completely around God.
Everything could be explained by something outside of this world. Rain was God's displeasure, sickness was God striking you down, etc.
Puritans relate their entire lives to god. I think it is very stupid to ignore facts and explain the unexplained with God. Things that they didn't have explanation for they saw as God pleasure/displeasure and sometimes the work of Satan which caused the loss of many innocent lives.

Puritans look at their life as God being the very center of their world. I think of Puritanism more as a religion just because of it being so focused on what God was and just overall spirituality. They believed that if it rained it was God not being pleased about whatever you have done and they also believe that when they got sick, it was God striking down on them, and they believed much more about God not being please and just not approving of what the person was doing. Also, a lot of Puritans lost their life because they were known to be using "witchcraft" which was also thought of as being possessed by the devil.
Everything in these people’s lives orbited around the ideas and beliefs of their religion. Everything from sickness, to crop outcome, everything was believed to be because of God or the devil. Everything they did was based on what would be pleasing or displeasing to God. At the time these people were living in, this belief was expected. They didn’t have the sciences that others have had as time has progressed. What else could’ve caused a sickness then the devil trying to bring them down into his hell? Or why else would their crops have failed? Did they displease God? This is all these Puritans lived off of.
Puritans had their lives revolve around not only religion but also independence and the hope and work of a better future. Everything they did on a day to day basis was devoted to the pleasure of their God and when things weren't going perfectly they blamed it on themselves not doing enough for Him. The people didn't bother looking at anything in a scientific sense but instead looked at everything as an outcome of God's will. Their work towards a better future for their settlements was definitely shown through the same work of that which they used to make God happy.
Puritans dedicated all of their lives to God and his teachings. Their goal was to please God in any way they could. They believed that everything that happened to them was a result of either God or the Devil. They blamed sickness, pain, failure, and many other negative things on the devil or God punishing them for not being fully committed. They would engulf themselves in the Church and prayer in order to please God. As a community they were very uniformed, because they believed that God had all of the answers. They were a very community oriented society as a whole.
The Puritans always use god in their train of thought and what they do in life. They completely ignore facts and act as if God is the only answer. The answer could be right infront of their faces but they choose to think of a different answer that's god related. Unfortunately this has affected many people badly regarding medical illness.I think they need to tone down their beliefs just a little bit or start learning more facts.
Puritans keep God as the center of their lives and their world. Puritanism has a base of religion and a focus on what God was and what he wants from us as humans. They believed that God was the only answer and they completely ignored facts that were completely true if they didn't believe it or if it didn't match up to religion and what God says to be true. Also, a lot of Puritans lost their life because they were known to be using "witchcraft" which was also thought of as like being possessed by the devil.
What I have learned all the articles about puritans is that the main focus of the Puritans is God and that they must do whatever means necessary in order to stay pure. They were also some of the first ones to settle in America so some of our values and ethics were pulled from those Puritans. We value to stay clean and live good and our government wants us to stay away from other things that may intoxicate or poison our body.
Puritan's lives revolved around their religion. Everything they did was for or because of God. They lived this way out of fear of going to hell. They didnt have enough technology though to be able to explain everything that went on. Just like the Greeks and Romans did, they used religion to explain their sorrows.
Puritans are very religious. They believe in God 100% and never want to rebel against him. They're are focused on God and what he wants for and from them as people. A lot of stuff also had to do with witchcraft and the belief in whiches. They believe that's all the work of the devil and if you're any part of it, you're automatically not a child of God.
Puritans try to relate God to everything that happens, bad or good. They often ignore simple facts and replace the facts with God or the devil. Puritans are also very judgmental if you do not believe in god or if you are not a devout Christian. I think that Puritans should try to focus a little more on finding hard evidence or facts instead of answering every question with God.
What I have learned through our Puritanism review is that Puritans base all of their beliefs around God and the bible. Even if their is a more explainable situation then what they believe in they will always choose the belief connected with God. If you acted different in a Puritan society then you would probably be viewed as associating yourself with Devil and would then be considered an outcast. Everyone in a puritan society were very similar.
The basis of Puritanism comes with good intentions. It's principles preach to always do and say what God would have one do. Every act is supposed to be based on their religious principles. This strict way of living and thinking also blinded them in many situations. Their unquestioned belief in the invisible world led them to kill random people accused of "witchcraft." The Puritans' close-mindset led to a lot of rash decisions. That being said, a lot of their basic principles are still used today. People often still base decisions on religion and try to please their God, but most people also use rational thinking to balance it out. The Puritans tried to do what they thought was right, but their lack of balance gave them tunnel vision and inspired decisions without logic.
