Based upon my viewing of Fitzgerald's A&E Biography Video excerpts, I believe that its important to contemplate the life that Fitzgerald lived before he even started to write. He had lived a life different than those he grew up with; his family wasn't the most wealthy and they struggled to pay for him to be put into the best schools. Fitzgerald had felt out of place and found comfort in writing. I believe that his childhood had made a lasting impact on him, therefore driving his passion for writing. Fitzgerald had become an alcoholic in college, which I think had made his writing more truthful.

After viewing the videos about Fitzgerald, it is clear to see were he gained his unique writing style. After his engagement being broken off, it is clear to see why he would have some deeper reflective writing. In addition to this, he always aspired to be a great and successful, yet throughout much of his young life he failed to do so. He is able to create stories that are realistic while still romanticizing the type of lifestyle he dreamed of.

Based upon the video, Fitzgerald's A&E Biography Video, I believe that the life style that Fitzgerald lived was a very unhealthy life style. He expected too much from himself. He was never satisfied with his life, but instead he always wanted more fame. I believe that this type of life style is very dangerous life style that I believe is self destroying. By the end of the video I came to the conclusion that I the lifestyle depicted in the video is a very devastating and destructive lifestyle.

It is important to identify and contemplate how the Author's life and the lifestyle in the time period is reflected through literature. Fitzgerald's life strongly resembles the storyline in The Great Gatsby so far. Gatsby is set during the time of the roaring 20's and I liked how in the video they stated how Fitzgerald was the only one who dared to write about the reality of extravagant lifestyle the people were really living during this time, which is why I think it became so famous. I predict that Fitzgerald's drinking habits will be reflected in the text as well as his love life hiding behind the personalities of the characters he writes about.

It is important to see how Fitzgerald was an icon of American extravagance and his wife's "flappery". Although Fitzgerald was living the life of luxury and fame, he also suffered from bouts of alcoholism and chaotic partying. The insanity of his life before writing his magnum opus should be taken into account when reading The Great Gatsby, because it was highly influenced by his life.

Fitzgerald has a very unique writing style compared to most authors at that time. After watching Fitzgerald's biography, I learned that Fitzgerald's life was just like his writing. He lived a roller coaster of a life.Fitzgerald was poor at one time, then on the top of the world at another time. He had a very interesting college life. Scott got accepted in to Princeton but then dropped out. Scott Fitzgerald's writing contemplated his life by showing how unique and exciting he was.

Based upon my viewing of the Fitzgerald A&E Biography videos I think his life was hard and he had many ups and downs that he expressed in his writing. He was an alcoholic and didn't have very much money while growing up which made him a better person in the end. At first he didn't have a job until he realized writing was his talent. Fitzgerald's writing was primarily based on characters and his earlier life stories. This was when his life turned around and helped his marriage with Zelda.

After watching the documentary about Fitzgerald, we see that his writing was clearly influenced by his life, where he lived, who he lived with, what kind of culture surounded him. But his years in college are what influenced him the most as he was cut from the football team, and then focused on writing for newspapers, magazine and then novels. These evolved during the 1920's to from his greatest novel, "The Great Gatsby."

Fitzgerald show just how persistence you must be in a world that moves so quickly. Fitzgerald often felt that he had missed his purpose in life, but he really dosen't let that hold him down for long. He pushes his progress along even though it sometimes appears to be going against the grain. The way he shifts his life in order to produce the outcomes he would like to see shows how strong he really is. He never loses sight of what he is, though his vision can seem quite blurred. The passion he puts into his work never fails to show him his next step, even when he feels lost. Fitzgerald is a very power conscious man as well as a hard worker, and truly it pays off for him.

Scott Fitzgerald's personal life is mirrored in many aspects of his writing. He had high hopes for himself, as demonstrated in the affluent and lavish characters he puts as the focal points of his novels. He interpreted success as wealth, and was constantly dissatisfied with his life, hence his drinking problem.

After watching the excerpt on Fitzgerald's life, it is important to contemplate how his lifestyle translated to his writings. For example his love of partying was often portrayed in his novels and they were popular because he wrote about things that the youth of this time period identified with. Another thing he translates into his books is his love of women, as seen in the character Daisy in the Great Gatsby.

When you think about "Fitzgerald's A&E Biography" video, there are many things to consider and think about. I believe that it is important to realize how unique his writing was for the time. After growing up in a financially struggling family, he felt out of place when compared to other writers. Then later into his writing career he was heartbroken by a woman who was supposed to be his wife, his writings became much darker and sad. This incident sent him into an alcoholic state, this constant state of being drunk affected his writing in many ways. His writing was unique and different to all other writers and I believe that that needs to be recognized.

I believe that it was important to contemplate Fitzgerald unique lifestyle. Fitgerald was very talented but underrated at various points in his life. His situation made him work harder to achieve his goals. The women in his life were hard to empress and this also made him work harder to achieve his goals. Writing also helped him fit in with people and gave him comfort. These are the biggest reasons his life affected his writing, because his writing was his life.

Fitzgerald live a life of exuberance and excess. He was always at parties and always drinking, and his writing, I think, reflected that. He wrote about characters that lived much like he did or had relationships like his own and I believe that most, if not all, of his writing was inspired by his own life. Also, he was a man robbed of glory his whole life until he had hid first book published, he was always looking for a way to be in the spotlight but never seemed to be able to find it until that point. After the success of his first book, Fitzgerald sort of became even more exuberant than before and that translated into his writing.

After viewing A&E's Fitzgerald Biography, it is apparent that the lifestyle of the Fitzgerald had a large affect on his writing. Scott writes about the Jazz Age. A period of time he was named king of. Scott's descriptions of characters who get lost in parties or alcohol are a reflection of how he was feeling about himself and his Jazz Age generation. It is important to understand that he was not only experiencing these drunken parties first hand, but he was contemplating the meaning of them. He was the voice of a generation.

After viewing the biography video excerpts on Fitzgerald's life, it was fairly obvious how his life affected his writing style. Although he lived a lifestyle of luxury and excitement, he was also struggled with alcoholism and depression. With the partying aspect of his life, I saw the connection between him and Gatsby. They had similar lifestyles, and I might infer that later on in the book Gatsby goes through a similar process of depression.

After watching the videos about Fitzgeralds life, I think its important to look back at the life he lived before he wrote "The Great Gatsby". Fitzgerald lived a life similar to that of a roller coaster. He dealed with many succeses and defeats throughout his life. He always wanted to be succesful and to be loved by people so thats why he made Gatsby that way. He was able to make the book seem to be realistic, but also abou the life he longed to live.
