I am contemplating how I can apply some of the messages or lessons each group tried to teach us and apply them to my everyday life. They all addressed it in a way that showed that it took hard work, good decisions, and even some risk. All the projects were good and very few lacked anything major. They all had a good message. Some promoted that everything is not what it seems or life can be deceptive. Some said that we should always be wary of others intentions as well as trust ourselves to trust them.

I learned a lot of things from looking at my peers' multi-genre projects, including many ideas of what today's definition of "The American Dream" is. One project taught me that not everything is as it seems, and everyone has this idea of coming to America and making it big, when in reality, most people are disappointed, and things don't work out the way they had hoped they would. This happens with a lot of people who immigrate to this country in order to make lots of money, when in reality not many people make the amount of money you see on TV. This theme is prevalent throughout all things, but especially in hopes for our future-- not to say that everyone is always going to be disappointed in everything that they do, just a lot of times our hopes are higher than the future can deliver.

The American dream may not be accomplished besides to ones self and your standard, things are not ever perfect. Or at all near perfect. There is a vision in everyone's head of there fairy tale, their dream but nothing will ever be that perfect. But to be the best that you can be is the most important thing.

Everybody addressed different themes under the umbrella of the "American Dream". They made it clear that the dream was about wealth and glamour. There was a project that was a box painted gold and the words lust, women, etc. and those were very obvious themes of the American Dream because that is what people base their lives around, it is the American Dream.

There were a lot of different projects and they all were really good. Just as there was a lot of diversity in the artifacts there was a lot of different themes displayed. One group showed the theme of love and what it was like personally for the characters and their chase of love. Another group showed how even though you may look good on the outside you may have a lot of issues on the outside. There was a little bit of everything and that in itself represents America and its diversity

This project was not truly an eye opening experience, but it did make me think about the concept of how things come up in our lives that may appear to be great, but in reality they end up being something totally different. They truly didn't look to much at the faucet of the "American dream" but were more all over the place. But they did manage do address some important ideas such as, not everything is as it appears, and that we don't know where the future will take us.

I feel like the American Dream is made up of Love, success, anger, passion, and determination. Some say riches are the base for the American dream. I say that wealth is the basis, but not material wealth. I believe and conceive that many kids in my class share some of the same views. The American dream will always be different to other people. Yet, it will have similar beginnings.

Most of the multi-genre projects that I looked at today all had a similar American Dream. Money vs. Love. They all talked about how money is chosen over love, and how it is affecting our world today. Money isn't necessarily bad, but when it is chosen over love, then it is seen differently. We need to take out of the multi-genre project that money is important, but not important enough to affect the things that matter most in our lives.

After looking at my peers Multi-genre projects I noticed that every group had a different out look on the American dream and how to portray it through visuals. I noticed many people used the Great Gatsby my self included, but everyone's projects were very different from each other even though it was the same topic. This proves that the american dream is a diverse topic and it was fun to see other peoples ideas.

After getting the chance to look at all the projects that my peers created, I'm left contemplating all the various ways that the American Dream was portrayed and in such simple terms. I'm also contemplating all the different perspectives that my classmates have regarding the American Dream and what is at the root of someone's dreams and desires. For example, one classmate just had a coat hanging from a pole, that had a wallet and dog tags and paperwork regarding Jay Gatsby and various characters that relate to the american dream, and the impact it had on each character. Another classmate did a project that focused on the future, and how life is unpredictable and even if you have a plan, or expectations for how things might happen, life has a funny way of taking you down a whole other path. I think that my whole class did an incredible job of uncovering every single angle of the American Dream, and one thing I know I can take away from all the projects as a viewer would be that everybody has a different idea of what will make them happy, but in the end I think it's really about being able to focus on the things that will fill you up in the end, such as relationships and friends and loved ones. Opposed to filling your life with temporary things, that will ultimately leave you empty in the end.

It was cool to have different messages showed by everyone and have them all do it in different ways. Some of the themes were better than others but overall it was a good job by almost everyone. Where some people shows love as a theme some people showed money as a theme, and putting that stuff in a coat or on a poster is really interesting. I really enjoyed having all the different themes and being able to think about them in different ways.

In doing peer reviews of others I learned about the different perspectives that others have on the american dream. One project was very interesting in the sense that it was almost a complete shadow of gatsby. It had all his personal belongings he would normally have on him walking down the street. In the personal belongings there was different information about Gatsby and things that explained his personal life

After viewing the Multi-Genre American Literature Projects of our class, I realized many specifically addressed the topic of wealth/greed. This topic is prevalent throughout all things in life and I feel has only worsened as time has gone by. I'm hoping that I can learn from these projects presented in class to change myself to not focus on the materialistic things.

After looking at all my peers multi-genre projects I feel like I learned a lot. Most of them talked about how they view the American dream. They talked about passion, dedication and hard work and even having a dream in life. I liked the one that showed that things may look like their one thing, but it turns out they are the exact opposite. Overall, I thought all of them gave a really good message and challenged me to think about things from a different perspective.

After viewing the class's multi-genre projects, I have been contemplating the ideas of the American Dream. The projects demonstrated how success isn't brought by materialism and money. The American Dream is often falsely depicted, leaving people with disappointment. The perfect vision of one's life rarely is accomplished. The projects such as the music playlist showed the glamorous side of the dream. We have to try to change our views on the dream in order to achieve it.

While viewing the multi-genre project I noticed that my peers truly understand how to have fun and make their projects their own and unique. I enjoyed their enthusiasm and creativity, but most of all I enjoyed their themes. Everyone made some profound points of the American dream being beautiful or awful. It was great to see the contrast and different points of views. My definition of the American Dream has most definitely changed for the better due to this project.

This project didn't make me think any differently about what the american dream is. Many didn't address it, and I think some had an obscure idea of what the American Dream really is. The American Dream is simply, if you work hard, you will be successful. The American Dream is suppose to represent hope and a better future, not a golden ticket to anything you could ever want. After this project, I would argue that many have an obscured view of what the American Dream is, and we should learn to define what we're talking about first.

Everyone's projects seemed to have a theme of love and money. Each one was unique. I loved two batches of brownies. One showed that not everything is what it seems to be. The American Dream is the same way. You can have an image of something like brownies or a dream, but when you bite into it, it isn't what you expected at all.

After viewing some of the multi-genre projects i learned a lot. It puts "the american dream" in a different perspective. One of the projects that i saw showed me that not everything is as it seems. Things don't always work out how you wanted them to. This happens with a lot of people in our world especially foreign people. They think they can come to america and be really successful, but in reality most of them become disappointed because it didn't work out as they planned. This happens to everyone at least once but its always different and sometimes its a big disappointment or its really small.

From the multi genre projects I looked at belonging to my classmates I learned a lot. I got multiple perspectives on commonly talked about topics. Many of them talked about money and love and how books and literature perceive them compared to real life. Every one had their own take on their topics and it was fun to see how each one of us conveyed our ideas in different ways. Every project had different aspects and elements that reflected our personality and thoughts. I gained a whole new out look on the "American Dream" throughout this project and it was fun to do a project with limited guidelines allowing for the creativity to flow. The multi genre project was really fun to do and I got a lot out of it.

The multi genre project was a great experience for me. It showed how many groups took different themes for the project and expressed them in fun and creative ways. Many groups talked about how love and money had a big impact on the American dream and sometimes can skew the dream entirely. Each element a group implemented into their project showed their ideas into words, lyrics, poems, etc. It was great to see a project taken to so many different levels of creativity and were fun to look at

Although, I was not here to view the multi-genre projects, based on what I can see around the class room and the above posts it seems like the groups put a lot of effort into the projects and they look very unique and creative!
