My idea of the American Dream is just simple freedoms. The freedom to do almost whatever you want, more freedom than most other countries can offer. Freedom can lead to happiness and prosperity, and who doesn’t want that?

My idea of the American dream is people who don't fight, where the world is peaceful, and no one gets judged. It's easy for someone to go and think something about someone and then find out that it turned out to be different than they thought it would be. I think that if we didn't have the war in Iraq, it would be more peaceful and people would get along.

I think that when thinking of the American dream many people think of wealth and rags to riches stories. My version of the American dream is to have good family and friends in a peaceful country with a stable financial situation.

The American Dream to me would simply be success. People came, and still come, to America looking for a better life, and for prosperity. I think it's about money, and getting on top. Personally i think the American Dream is a lie, or at least overrated.

My view of the American Dream is one’s prosperity. Having an opportunity that one’s child will grow up with an education, an opportunity to be an individual, and the opportunity and freedom that will allow a person to achieve their goals in life and be successful, by working hard and determination.

My version of the American dream would that one day America can find a way to work together with the world against the dangers are harms that are making the world suffer. Also that America could accept everyone of every race, sex, gender, and sexual orientaion. This is supposed to be a free and equal rights country.

My idea of the American Dream is having the opportunity to go through college and make a life for myself. Most countries have few opportunities to even go to school. In our society we can either take the opportunity to suceed by going through school or not by skipping school and just starting our lives. The people who take advantage of the society we have achieve much more than those who don't. In other countries some don't get the chance to make somthing for themselves they just get what they were born with and nothing more.

My version of the American Dream to be able to live in this country with freedom and rights. I think it's being able to fulfill whatever goals you have in life. I think it's about taking advantage of making the best of your life. America is suppose to be a peace filled country where everyone has freedom of speech and equal rights..but in today's society it's not really what it's assume to be made out as.

My version of the American Dream would be what most people already have now. Just to be happy you don't need lots of money just a family and people that care for you. Just having freedoms that most people already have now that live in America. It would be nice to have war and fighting gone but it is not something that is easily done.

Since the phrase, "American Dream" is stereo typical in my mind. I think most people would say that it is to get rich quick. Which through society I think that it is like a mask. That blinds us into thinking that having everything in the world physically would engage us into complete happiness. Through my mind I see it as something that excites one person from the start but dramatically drops in interest through time. Through this vicious process the majority of the people would try to fill using the same method as before.

I kind of rambled on but I think the “American Dream” for me would be to set goals and achieve them. That is what builds character, Confidence and structure in life. It's not the tasks you fill, but how you learn too achieve them.

My idea of the American Dream is to have a great family and friends and of course success! When most people think of the American dream they usually think of money. Freedom is also a big factor in this, the freedom to believe what you want and do what you want. Like sara said, freedom can lead to happiness and prosperity

I think the most sought after American dream is success, not just with money, but to always reach for something higher, to take that next step where no one has gone before. I also think part of the American dream is having individual rights and being able to live your own life pretty much the way you want.

Well, my American Dream is to have a great time as long as I'm here, make a lot of friends and experience a lot of the culture!
This year is one of the most interesting ones in my whole life so far!
I think I will definitely return to the US after this year, and for that I wish it would be easier to enter the country even though I can understand the restrictions.

To me the American dream isn't about being rich or anything like that. It's about having a loving family that gets along together, while having a stable job that earns enough to support them all.

The American Dream is often thought as living a life of plenty. Although it's not necessarily true many people associate the American dream as having wealth and leisure time. In the 1890s, just like today people wanted to fit in and not be looked down upon because of their lack of wealth or style. In my opinion, every individual has his own dream, which can be very little to others, but it can easily change that individual's life. Eventhough having enough money and having free time may be part of the American dream, the most important part is being able to live free and persue your own dreams.

The American Dream is the Pursuit of HAPPYness just like the movie. The point is to try and obtain as much as you can so that you can create a more enjoyable life. That's what makes America so great and why it is a melting pot. We are called this because so many people have completely different ideas of happiness so they pursue their own and then their pursuit entangles itself in the American lifestyle.

My idea of the American Dream is a peaceful enviorment, where there is no fighting between others. Another part of the American Dream, ".in my eyes would include a new start for sucuess. I think the reason why people immagrate to the United States is for new start/lifestyle. I also see the american dream as "keeping up with the jones".

My idea of the American dream is the ability to do new things and take advantage of the opportunities that I have as a result of living in America. I think that many people forget how lucky we are here and how hard life is in other parts of the worlds.

My idea of the american dream is to have a home of your own, where ever that may be. Also i think that though some people view the american dream as success i think that it is being at peace with your accomplishments and your contributions to society. And finally, having the freedom to speak as you wish, watch what you want to and of course eat whatever type of food you want and not get out of shape!

My idea of the American Dream is to get a good job when im older and make enough money that I will not have to worry about anything for the rest of my life. I think that what everyone wants is the freedom to be able to do whatever they want. I cant personally think of anything better than that and I believe that freedom is always the base of everyones American Dream.
